The Plastic Tree Guard Mountain at Kimberlow Hill, University of York highlights the need to care for the environment for the benefit of future generations.
The guards are being removed from the trees that have been planted there over the last ten years and the work is being carried out by Gordon Eastham, Estates Manager for the University of York, Derek Utley from @TreemendousYork, Miki Storey from the John Lally Foundation.
The children from Lord Deramore’s Primary School in Heslington have got involved too as you can see from this great photo (thanks @bjlfearn for sharing).
